The body and mind do not exist independently of one another. There is a growing body of research that explores the relationship between traumatic life events and chronic health conditions, including addiction. High levels of psychological and emotional stress can lead severe stress responses in the body, which can contribute to the development of certain conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, chronic inflammation, and ongoing musculoskeletal tension patterns. According to the International Network of Integrative Mental Health, this emerging approach, "addresses mind, body, and spirit, by promoting effective and safe clinical practices." By bringing together modern science and the wisdom of other healing traditions, we can improve outcomes, get to the root cause of suffering, and prevent reoccurrences of mental health symptoms.
I specialize in understanding and treating the psychological, emotional, spiritual, and functional challenges that may contribute to the following conditions and/or issues:
Pregnancy & Post-Partum Issues
Chronic Pain or Chronic Illness
Stress Related and Autoimmune Disorders(Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome)
Please remember that I am not a medical doctor. The services I provide are in no way intended to diagnose, treat, and/ or cure underlying medical conditions. If you are under the care of a medical doctor for any of the above mentioned conditions, please continue to follow all medical advice as recommended and please do not discontinue the use of any medications you are currently prescribed without first checking with your PCP.
